Job Description:

Summary: A Senior Network engineer - who is responsible for all lines of network operational support and delivering Network/Telecom related projects, supporting the business and IT units and Asia Pacific region. Gather projects requirements, create technical design documentation, and partner with local in-country resources or vendors to deliver the projects.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1st/2nd/3rd line operational support (mainly 2nd/3rd line) for all lines of Network/Firewall/Telephony systems across Asia Pacific region
  • Verbal and written communication to senior IT/Business management when major incident happens (in English), using appropriate wording.
  • Manage and deliver multiple, independent Network/Telephony projects throughout Asia Pacific region within proposed budget and timelines. This includes managing of vendors and ensures compliance to the Corporate Telecom standards and guidelines.
  • Configure Cisco routers & switches, Cisco Call Manager, Nokia/Checkpoint Firewall, BT ITS system and Speakerbus system, given a technical specification on the features and functionality required.
  • Delivery of moderately complex analytical and evaluative information for use by others (reports, engineering designs, user education manuals, etc…).
  • Provide consultations and operational support to business and IT units
  • Provide moderately complex technical support to ensure availability per business group.

Minimum Expected Experience(Qualifications: )
The ideal candidate for this position would posses:
  • Proficient communication skill in English
  • 5+ years experience in network industry working on Cisco routers & switches, Call Manager, and Nokia Firewall.
  • 5+ years experience in design and deployment of global large enterprise Network/Telephony communications systems.
  • A proven ability to design and support Network/Telephony Infrastructure.
  • Proven project management experience running multiple independent projects, within various countries in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Experienced user of Cisco products (CCNP, CCIE, and etc)
  • Experience in BT and Speakerbus system is a plus
